pOLYCARBONATE SHELL
The first layer of defense is the polycarbonate shell.
It is impact resistant, chemical resistant, and will take the brunt of the rigors in a retail environment but it will not limit the functionality of your terminal. We design the enclosures to be an unobtrusive solution that still gives you access to the paper feed, the charging functions, the mag swipe and does not interfere with NFC transactions.
tPU rubber liner
The next layer of defense is the TPU (themoplastic polyurethane) liner.
While the polycarbonate takes the impact, the TPU absorbs the shock. It lines the interior of the enclosure to ensure a snug and secure fit while acting a buffer between external forces and the terminal.
