National rollout of custom keyboard & monitor solutions
Loblaws has been a long standing customer for nearly a decade. Maintech has implemented numerous nationwide updates for all their Keyboard & Monitor checkout solutions – as well as PIN pad stands – most recently in 2011 for the implantation of new VeriFone Mx915 PIN pads.
Addressing new terminal requirements with custom design
In 2012, Loblaws made the move to update their terminals and in doing so had new requirements in their terminals. Foremost on their list, they needed all terminals to be detachable for ADA compliancy. As well, they required cable management for large signal plugs, smooth rotation and tilting, and custom adapters for various checkout systems – i.e. flat and rail checkout lanes, counter top pick up solution, and self checkout kiosk. Our breakthrough custom design incorporated self lubricating bushings often used in robotics, large cable management, ADA compliant accessibility, and full tilting/rotation capability.
